At AMP United, we believe work is more than a means to make a living — it’s a way to glorify God and empower others. That’s why we were proud to support a project in rural Guatemala, equipping young people with the skills they need to break the cycle of poverty and build a brighter future.

At home and abroad, we at AMP United love seeing individuals work for the glory of God and his Kingdom.

Recently, AMP United participated in a project that gave Guatemalan youth skills that would help them out of poverty.

The project, in partnership with My Father’s House, sent computers to Tabacal, a rural community in Guatemala, in order for a local school to connect with people across the world. The focus was to help high school teens learn computer skills in order to graduate prepared to enter the workforce and break the cycle of poverty. Multiple families have earned a sustainable income as a result.

Peter Lignos, AMP United President, sees our abilities as something that should be shared for the betterment of those in need. “As God blesses us and gifts us with ability, it is a responsibility of ours to help others,” he says.

You no-doubt know the adage, “Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.”

This saying is so popular in part because it touches on our innate desire to work with our hands. It also recognizes that while everyone appreciates receiving help, skill-building is the long-term approach that makes a life-long impact in an individual. This is so true when thinking about helping those in need around the world. Providing youth with skills for work creates an opportunity for sustainable income for a lifetime.

Here at AMP United, we see work as more than just a paycheck, but as an opportunity for personal growth. AMP United is committed to honouring the individual strengths of our employees. We seek to challenge them and motivate them to reach their full potential. We believe we’re the best in the business and we train our workforce to match that distinction.

The Bible says, "So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." (1 Corinthians 10:1). We are committed to helping both our employees and people around the world work for God’s glory.

AMP Values in Action: Next Generation of Missions-Centered Leaders

We want to invest in the next generation of leaders. At the heart of AMP United is the desire to see young people develop missions-centered hearts that seek to serve others over themselves. In light of this, AMP United developed an annual partnership with Portsmouth Christian Academy to equip students for missions-centered leadership.

In a world that often encourages self-focus, AMP United is passionate about creating opportunities for youth to experience the lasting joy of serving others.
