AMPP 2026 Project Award in Community Service

AMP United has been awarded the 2026 AMPP Project Award for Community Service for our preservation work on the USS Midway Museum.
AMPP says the award reflects “dedication, innovation, and exceptional contributions to our industry.”
AMPP’s award is a significant industry recognition that highlights not only the technical excellence of the project, but also the broader impact of preserving an iconic historic asset that serves the public every day.
Combining ingenuity with highly skilled tradesman and excellence in execution, all of AMP United’s work was performed while the USS Midway was pierside, allowing the museum to stay fully operational 363 days of the year.
Len Santiago, Chief Engineer of the USS Midway says this of AMP’s work on the ship:
“This is the first ship wide restoration of the ship, top to bottom, bow to stern since USS Midway’s last shipyard availability in Yokosuka, Japan 1986 and the AMP United team has provided the support like the ship was on active duty getting ready to go back to sea.”
We are grateful to have been given the oppprtunity to help preserve such an iconic piece of US military history. Thank you, AMPP for recognizing our work on this historic vessel.
